Background Among the Forcibly Displace Myanmar Nationals (FDMN) in Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh, there are currently approximately 300,000 women of reproductive age and around 60,000 pregnant women at any given time. Initial analysis by WHO and partners has revealed limited uptake of SRH services, including facility deliveries, delays in seeking of care for obstetric complications and limited use of family planning methods, and high vulnerability for gender based violence due to insecurity, overcrowding and insufficient access to services. According to the Joint Response Plan, specialised GBV services are available in less than 50% of the settlement areas for refugees. The Health Sector in Cox’s Bazar is strategically placed, through the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Working Group, and through other means, to address the ongoing challenges in this area. For this reason, WHO in Bangladesh, as the Health Sector lead, is part of two multi-country initiatives to strengthen SRHR and GBV within health responses:, “Delivering integrated Sexual Reproductive Health Rights services in emergencies through the Health Cluster”, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (from January 2018 to December 2019), and “Institutionalizing and Strengthening the Capacity to Address Gender-Based Violence in the Health Cluster and in WHO’s Emergency Work” funded by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration. Role A project officer is recruited to support the Health Cluster coordinator in the implementation and follow up of the project and to be the health partners’ focal point for SRH and GBV activities in the  camps for FDMN. • Coordination: the project officer will participate in the SRH working group meetings and the GBV subworking group meetings In Cox’s Bazar, both led by UNFPA. He/she will support health partners in activities implementation if needed and update on regular basis the Health Sector Coordinator and the team in Cox’s Bazar.
  • Supplies: the project officer will follow the distribution and the use of the SRH kits and other commodities/supplies as related to the project. He/she will alert on stock ruptures and unmet needs reported by partners.
  • Monitoring: The project officer will collect data as related to the project; he/she will follow the main indicators defined for the project; he/she will analyze data and activities and report on any difficulties encountered in the health facilities or in the community; he/she will write a monthly progress report.
  • Other: the project officer will help to document health seeking behavior; he/she will inform the Health Sector Coordinator on potential problems/constraints faced by partners in the undertaking of SRHR activities and will perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
