In the spirit of International Labour Day, Share-Net Bangladesh is spotlighting the five pressing SRHR challenges faced by garment workers in Bangladesh – from denied maternity leave and poor menstrual hygiene to lack of family planning services and workplace protections.

While the RMG sector drives Bangladesh’s economic growth, millions of women behind this industry continue to face daily violations of their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). It is time to recognise that SRHR is a fundamental part of workers’ rights.
