About the organisation

PRAN is a non-governmental and non-partisan Policy Research & Advocacy Organization (RPA)’ led by a group of Civil Society activities’ in Bangladesh. PRAN has been searching for development alternatives to strengthen people's initiative by promoting human rights, economic rights, Climate Resilience, governance, trade justice and sustainable livelihoods. The organization is working to ensure participatory governance processes, strengthening civil society group, ensuring a linkage in research to policy practices, watching the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals in Bangladesh.

PRAN is working intensively with the poor, marginal and underprivileged biodiversity dependent people i.e. forest people, indigenous communities, coastal women, marginal farmers and climate vulnerable people. PRAN is actively connected many National and International Networks and CSO group. Currently, PRAN is hosting Secretariat of `Violence Against Women- Let's Protect & Prevent’, supported by ActionAid Bangladesh.
PRAN is one of the core organizations in Bangladesh, who are advocating with Government to make a legislation to ensure Right to Food all. At this moment PRAAN is implementing 'Cultural Action to Promote and Incorporate SRHR in Climate Adaptation in Rural Bangladesh' supported by Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW) .
The organization has been implementing several SRHR, Women empowerment, Climate Adaptation related research and development project supporting by GoB and National, International Organization. At the same time, the organization has a very good present in National and Regional level advocacy and research arena.
