About the organisation

ABOUT T.I.C.O

TICO (Thriving Inclusive Community Organization) is youth -led non- governmental organization working on health and human right based in Kigali Rwanda. TICO was established in 2019 by a dedicated group of young activists from different universities in Rwanda. Their shared passion for increasing inclusivity and equality in Rwanda led to the formation of TICO.

TICO advocates for the protection and promotion of health and human rights of sexual minorities and vulnerable communities for better inclusive development, TICO reaches geographically in different universities such as in Kigali city :University of Rwanda (Remera campus, Nyarugenge campus and Gikondo campus), African Leadership university, University of Kigali, mont kenya , in in Northern province Musanze district( Ines Ruhengeri university) and in Southern province in Huye district university of Rwanda (Huye campus).

TICO intervenes in its mission-oriented activities through research-based approaches, by also providing a platform where specialist meets with beneficiaries in different training and workshops.

TICO strives also to eradicate stigma and discrimination and human rights violation in training and sensitizing local authorities and health care providers to get information all about human rights awareness to ensure a sustainable equal community environment where sexual minorities (LGBTIQ and among others) will enjoy, access to a friendly health care services and gain the ability to participate in diversity job opportunities.

TICO welcomes and hosts volunteers who seek to help our cause mission on behalf of communities by lifting up standards of living through sustainable activities by promoting human rights and inclusive development.
