It prefers to present itself as interdenominational and also employs staff from non-evangelical Christian denominations. It was founded in 1950 by Robert Pierce as a service organization to meet the emergency needs of missionaries. In 1975, development work was added to World Vision's objectives. It is active in more than 90 countries with a total revenue including grants, product and foreign donations of USD 2.90 billion (2019).

SRHR publications/research

I am currently working in the Gender & SRHR Component of “Youth Empowered Project- Preventing Child Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM) through integrated SRHR transformation”, funded by Global Affairs of Canada (GAC) for World Vision Bangladesh as the Gender & SRHR Coordinator. As the Gender & SRHR Coordinator, I am leading to implement Gender & SRHR related project models (MenCare, Citizen Voice and Action (CVA), Channel of Hope-Gender etc.) and other activities by coordinating with implementation partner- Uttaran. I am working to design and implement gender-sensitive and gender-specific activities that are aiming to implement in the project area to achieve ultimate outcome of the project. Before this, I worked as GBV Prevention Officer of USAID funded Emergency Food Security Programme of WVB at Rohingya Refugee Response situation.
