Job Context
  • Project background: In 2013, Concerned Women for Family Development received funds from Plan International Bangladesh to implement `Generation Breakthrough` project. This project aims to address gender based violence (GBV) in Bangladesh by establishing linkages to adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity, with a focus on engaging boys and improving relationship building skills. As a part of delivering adolescent friendly health services, Generation Breakthrough project will operate a helpline to deliver tele-counseling and referral services on sexual and reproductive health and gender based violence. The primary target group of this helpline is adolescents aged 10-19 years.
  • CWFD and Plan International Bangladesh do not allow any perpetrator on child abuse.
  • Job Duration: Initially 7 (seven) months, may extendable based on the funding availability of Generation Breakthrough Project.
  • Line of responsibility: The Technical Officer is directly reportable to the Field Manager in Patuakhali.
Job Description / Responsibility
  • Provide technical support to school teachers in implementation of Gender Equity Movement in School (GEMS) manual.
  • Regular visit to the enlisted schools, clubs and madrashas.
  • Provide technical support to the Gender Promoters in clubs in implementing awareness program on ASRHR and Gender Based Violence.
  • Organize and facilitate awareness raising meeting in the community on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Gender Based Violence.
  • Organize Community Advocacy meeting with different stakeholders on Gender and ASRHR.
  • Project monitoring data punching using Tablet computer.
  • Monthly report writing including case studies / success stories.

Educational Requirements
    At least Bachelor degree in any discipline.

  • Experience on working with ASRHR and Gender Based Violence reducing program.
  • Extensive travel in the project areas.
