Youth Action Action for Justice and Development (JYDA Bangladesh)
About the organisation
Youth Action for Justice and Development (JYDA Bangladesh) is a youth-led non-profit, govt. registered organisation committed to promoting social justice, human rights, gender equality, and inclusive community development. Established in 2024, JYDA works with young people to strengthen leadership, civic engagement, peacebuilding, climate justice, and local governance. Our programmes focus on empowering youth and marginalized communities through capacity-building, advocacy, community outreach, and evidence-based initiatives.
In Cox’s Bazar, Dhaka, and Chattogram regions, JYDA actively engages young leaders to address social challenges such as inequality, environmental risks, community safety, SRHR awareness, and rights-based participation in decision-making.
As a youth-driven platform, JYDA collaborates with national and international networks to amplify youth voices and co-create sustainable solutions that promote dignity, wellbeing, and social harmony. We aim to build an equitable society where young people, especially women and vulnerable groups, can exercise their rights freely and contribute meaningfully to development processes.
SRHR publications/research
JYDA Bangladesh integrates SRHR awareness into its youth leadership and community programmes. Our team has produced community-level briefs, youth awareness content, and field-based insights on barriers to SRHR information, stigma, and access among young people in Cox’s Bazar. We also conduct community consultations and dialogues linking SRHR with climate vulnerability, gender norms, and youth wellbeing. JYDA is planning structured documentation and youth-led research initiatives focused on SRHR rights, harmful practices, and access to youth-friendly services.
