Improving access to reproductive health supplies

Maternal mortality appeared to be declining in Bangladesh with at least 322 maternal deaths per 100,000 births, shows the research done by Population Action International in 2010.

The research suggested that, improving access to supplies such as medicine and equipment was one of the essential component of strengthening maternal health programs and outcomes. Shortage of supplies was identified by the stakeholders in Bangladesh as a direct barrier to utilization and positive outcomes at health facilities.
