Online Certificate Course on ‘Women, Gender and Development Training for Professionals’

An online certificate course on ‘Women, Gender and Development Training for Professionals’ is being organized by the Institute of Development Studies Alumni Association, Bangladesh (IDSAA), in collaboration with Women Research and Training Cell, Shishu Aangina.

Understanding gender and applying a gender lens in your work is not only important for effective development but also for accelerating economic growth, ensure democracy and reducing various gender gaps. Gender-based violence and COVID-19 impact will be covered as cross cutting issues for the sectors.

The course content is designed to provide staff with the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate gender issues into their work and everyday life. Drawing on 32 years of diverse experience in gender related work in international development, we bring solid gender expertise to development problem across sectors. The modules are designed to initiate discussion and self-reflection in participants’ own work environment. The course will consist of five different modules.
