Share-Net Bangladesh: SBCC Training on SRHR & Gender 2022

Share-Net Bangladesh has organised a two-day long “Social & Behaviour Change Communication Training session on SRHR & Gender” hosted by RedOrange Communications. In the two-day session, the training was divided into four topics which were covered by four different specialists. 

The 1st session of the first day was taken by Ms. Khaleda Yasmin, National Coordinator (FPF), Family Planning-Field Services Delivery (FP-FSD) of the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP), on “Brainstorming Concepts – SRHR and Gender”. She discussed various aspects of SRHR in the context of different genders. She also emphasised more extensive study on Male SRHR issues and formulating SBCC tools to address those issues at the “SBCC Training on SRHR & Gender” of Share-Net Bangladesh. 

And for the 2nd session of the first day was taken by Muhammad Aminuzzaman, Senior Lecturer in Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) at ULAB, on “Basics of Communication influencing SRHR and Gender”. His discussion covered a diverse range of basic communication models and how they are important to address SRHR & Gender issues at the “SBCC Training on SRHR & Gender” of Share-Net Bangladesh.  

In the 1st session of the second day of SBCC Training on SRHR & Gender, there was a comprehensive session on the “Theory & Practice of SBCC in Social Development” by Mr. Arnob Chakrabarty, Managing Director of RedOrange Communications. He conducted some practical demonstrations of SBCC theories and shed light on their impact on social development concepts. 

And the 2nd session was on “SRHR & Gender Sensitive Branding” by Mr. Mahmud Haider, Creative Director of RedOrange Communications. He pointed out the core notions of Branding elements like: logo, font, colour, mission, vision, etc. and why they are important to reflect the organisations overall brand identity.  

The programme has been concluded with a certificate-giving ceremony by Ms. Petra Van Der Eijk, Director-Operations of RedOrange Communications, and Ms. Jannatul Munia, Coordinator of Share-Net Bangladesh. This two-day training programme was designed to enlighten young professionals and researchers on various in-depth aspects of SBCC to address and change SRHR perspectives.
